Preparatory grade is considered the music kindergarten. If you started learning piano as a kid you would generally spend about 1 or 2 years. Adults, on the other hand, typically spend between 6 months and 1 year. If you’re a beginner and you want to get started playing the piano, preparatory piano sheet music is a great place to start.
